NyamJam Food & Music Festival
NyamJam is a celebration of the country's richly adapted culinary culture, heady island jams and irie spirit. NyamJam is aimed at intertwining locals and travelers with a shared appreciation for Jamaica’s distinctive cuisine and hypnotic music. The festival has drawn prominent culinary and musical talents of every flag. The weekend's events range from sprawling, all-inclusive celebrations to intimate, elegant gatherings. Friday 13 November - Fleming Villa dinner hosted by Chris Blackwell and Mario Batali (6pm to 10pm)
Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres served at GoldenEye's famed Ian Fleming Villa at 6pm.
Island Oupost founder Chris Blackwell co-hosts a three course welcome dinner for 150 guests at sunset with headlining chef Mario Batali benefitting in part The Oracabessa Foundation. An intimate live performance by Jamaica's own Ernest Ranglin concludes the evening.
Saturday 14 November - NyamJam Culinary & Music Bazaar (1pm to 6pm)
All-day access to the NyamJam Culinary & Music Bazaar co-produced with Kingston Kitchen on GoldenEye's Bizot Lawn. Featured: Up to 20 booths from local and international chefs, specialty purveyors and Jamaican artisans showcasing their handcrafted works and wares. Live demonstrations by Batali, Iuzzini, Enrique and surprise guests will allow attendees to sample dishes prepared on-site by these world renowned chefs. Island jams provided by DJ’s sets throughout the day and a live performance by Angelique Kidjo.
Saturday 14 November - Celebrity Chef Dinner (6:30pm to 11:30pm)
All-day access to the NyamJam Culinary & Music Bazaar co-produced with Kingston Kitchen on GoldenEye's Bizot Lawn featuring up to 20 booths from local and international chefs, specialty purveyors and Jamaican artisans showcasing their handcrafted works and wares. Live demonstrations by Mario Batali,Johnny Iuzzini, Jose Enrique and surprise guests will allow attendees to sample dishes prepared on-site by these world renowned chefs. Island jams provided by DJ’s sets throughout the day and a live performance by Angelique Kidjo.
Following the culinary bazaar, our guests will be ushered to the beach to enjoy specialty Bombay Sapphire cocktails.
Chefs Batali, Bloomfield, Enrique, Mullen and Iuzzini will prepare a five-course meal highlighting Jamaica’s culinary culture as they’ve experienced it, using ingredients grown exclusively by local farmers and Island Outpost’s own 2,500-acre farm, Pantrepant. Dinner will be followed by an intimate surprise musical performance.
